Roche illustrations
Roche is a Swiss multinational healthcare company that operates worldwide under two divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics.
I had the chance to collaborate with my teammates at Hello Monday to create a set of illustrations, part of a wider visual system, to help them with their internal and external communication.
The illustration style is made out of two elements, blue ink which connects to the mother brand serving as a visual reference to the use of chemistry in a scientific laboratory, and hand drawn organic line work, offering a human, warm balance to the serious and formal nature of the pharmaceutical work.
Two kinds of characters were depicted: tiny doctors and laboratory hands. They were used together or alone, depending on the situation needed to be communicated.

Imperfection is part of the charm in this illustration style.
Organic wiggly lines play in balance with hard straight lines when drawing the elements.
Open gaps, in purpose miss-match and negative intersections give line variation and a feeling of “care taken” in the making of the illustrations.
02 –––––––– From me to we animated video
An animated short film was created using this same illustration style, and it was shown in a virtual, internal event of the company.
The key purpose of the video was to tell a story of transformation, and transition to a new culture, showing the progression from a siloed organization to a more collaborative one, "From Me to We".
